Course Outline:
Our nationally accredited Initial Firefighting training courses are designed for persons who may be required to operate firefighting equipment in a first response role. This training introduces personnel to the basic principles of industrial firefighting.
Participants will develop skills to select the correct firefighting equipment based on the type of fire encountered. Training covers how to work in accordance with basic firefighting procedures. Personnel will receive training that is tailored to their work environment. This will include training in the areas of SIZEUP and an introduction to RECEO. This training course is a further course from the 1 day initial response course..
Course Subjects:
- Basic Fire Science
- Responding to Fires & Emergencies
- Firefighting Tactics & Techniques
- PRACTICAL SESSIONS: Using a Fire extinguisher, Fire Hose Reel & Fire Blanket
- Principles of SIZE-UP and RECEO when responding to fires
- Use of hose lines and structural firefighting
This Training is specifically tailored to your worksite, your equipment and your procedures.
Duration:
Normally 2 Days (Note personnel should have previously completed the Breathing Apparatus Training Course).
