We are a finalist for the MYOB Small Business Award

8 June 2011 - Telstra today named Fire and Safety Australia Pty Ltd as a finalist for the MYOB Small Business Award in the 2011 Telstra Victorian Business Awards.

Fire and Safety Australia Pty Ltd (FSA) owner and director Steven McLeod may be just 26, yet he has pulled together more than 150 years of emergency services within his safety organisation. Launched three years ago and based in Notting Hill in Melbourne’s south-east, FSA provides workplace safety training and consulting throughout Australia with a team of 19 experts. Clients include Qantas, Bunnings and Cement Australia and, more recently, an open-cut coal mine in Blackwater, Queensland, which requires four FSA officers on-site, seven days a week. The biggest challenge, according to Steven, has been managing costs while growing at 100 per cent each year and servicing a national network of clients. FSA continues to develop new clients through a small team of sales people, a web site with instructional video clips and DVD mail-outs that show potential customers how FSA can help them with their safety needs.

Fire and Safety Australia provide the following services and products Australia wide:

  • Nationally recognised fire, safety and emergency response training;
  • Safety and emergency response consultancy;
  • Emergency services officers for short term or long term contracts; and
  • A full range of height safety, confined space entry and rescue equipment.

FSA exist to prepare Australian companies for emergencies that may occur and provide them with ‘hands on and practical safety and emergency training’ to keep themselves and their colleagues safe.

With a presence in every State and Territory in Australia with experienced trainers, consultants and emergency response personnel. Supported by a highly experienced and friendly administration and customer service team, we endeavour to provide our clients with a ‘friendly and professional experience every time.
