Course Outline:
Our nationally accredited training is designed for Occupational Health and Safety Practitioners and those who have completed training as Workplace Health and Safety Officers and wish to further their skills, knowledge and career opportunities in occupational health and safety. Training covers the key areas of work undertaken by an Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner in a full-time dedicated role who works under the supervision of an Occupational Health and Safety Manager.
Entry Requirements:
It is desirable that students have knowledge and/or work experience equivalent to Certificate III in Occupational Health and Safety and have sound literacy and numeracy skills to undertake the components of this course.
Course Modules:
BSBOHS408A Assist with compliance with OHS and other relevant laws
BSBOHS401B Contribute to the implementation of a systematic approach to managing OHS
BSBOHS402B Contribute to the implementation of the OHS consultation process
BSBOHS403B Identify hazards and assess OHS risks
BSBOHS404B Contribute to the implementation of strategies to control OHS risk
BSBOHS405B Contribute to the implementation of emergency procedures
Plus 3 elective modules. Core and elective modules are chosen to be specific to the work environment and the student’s experience.
During the training sessions we may complete practical assessments, where appropriate, in a group environment, on actual work tasks or in a simulated environment.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
We encourage students to claim RPL and as such consideration is given to prior life and work experiences as well as formal and informal training. Documentary evidence will be requested, and for further information please contact Fire and Safety Australia.

Depends on the experience of the personnel. Normally 5-8 Days + Project work
