Our Experience With Iron Duke Mine

Fast Facts:

  • Over 150 learners trained since December 2012
  • Accredited module fits into a small slot within a 3 day induction program
  • A further 10 courses booked ahead

FSA has been delivering Nationally Accredited Fire Extinguisher training to BGC in Whyalla since December 2012.

When BGC was awarded their mining services contract for the Iron Duke Mine, South Middleback Ranges, they ventured into a 3 day staff induction. FSA plays an integral role in delivering the Fire Safety/ Fire Extinguisher component to induction groups every month.

With our growing regional presence in Whyalla in South Australia’s Mining Sector, the shift workers at Iron Duke will be prepared for any small fire emergency on site.

This principal of working into induction scheduling can be incorporated into any 2-4 day site inductions, or within refreshing programs as required to deliver fire and safety training.
