Our Experience With Victorian Prisons

Fast Facts

  • FSA has provided tailored Height Safety Training and Vertical Rescue Training for the Victorian Prisons SESG (Special Emergency Security Group).
  • FSA had the mission of teaching the SESG how to effectively extract prisoners from the rooftops of any of the Government or Private Prisons in Victoria in a safe and effective manner using vertical rescue techniques.
  • FSA recommend specific vertical rescue equipment to suit this particular task.

The SESG came to FSA head office to take advantage of the Vertical Rescue Training facilities. The comment from the SESG Manager was that it was the “absolute best training” they have ever had and have been approved to build their own simulator onsite to conduct ongoing Vertical Rescue Training. FSA has tailored the Vertical Rescue Training directly to the requirements of the SESG and the very challenging training requirements that they had.

FSA had multiple meetings on how we can move forward by providing a training matrix for their staff . FSA held a demo day to show case all the vertical rescue equipment that they would require for a vertical rescue operation.

FSA are now the exclusive RTO used for the delicate types of Vertical Rescue Training required in a Prison environment and with the view to provide other forms of training as a direct result of the quality and positive memorable practical experiences.
