Health & Safety Representative 5 Day Course

What Every QLD Business Needs To Know About The New WH&S July 1st Legislation
A new era for workplace safety in QLD will commence July 1st 2018. Is your workspace ready?
After two high profile incidents in 2016, the QLD Government was prompted to undertake a Best Practice Review of Work Health and Safety laws. The first incident, which remains under investigation occurred at Dreamworld when an amusement park ride failed and resulted in four fatalities. The second incident, was at the Eagle Farm Racecourse redevelopment when a concrete slab toppled over and crushed two workers at the construction site. The workers’ supervisor is being prosecuted for two counts of manslaughter over the deaths. Read more…

Meet The Team – Maria Bannister
Maria Bannister is Learning & Development Manager in our WA facility. She has been a safety trainer with the NSCA since 2015. Maria is an experienced work health and safety trainer and has also worked as a consultant and auditor. You can hear Maria speak about the key to a successful and compliant WHS Committee at the upcoming Safety Connect event 29-30 August in Brisbane.

Independent review of Work Health & Safety in ACT:
It has been announced that an independent review will evaluate the appropriateness and effectiveness of the ACT Government’s current work health and safety compliance and enforcement strategies to ensure they are delivering for Canberra’s workers.The review follows media reports last year that stated Canberra was “the most dangerous place for construction workers.”

Our WA trainer Ron recently conducted tower rescue training in our WA training centre. He showed immense attention to details and ensured the training covered every aspect of a live demonstration on an actual tower. The state of the art equipments & modern facility at FSA complimented him in delivering the training and provided a satisfactory experience for the students.
