This qualification reflects the role of employees who take on OHS/WHS responsibilities in addition to their main duties such as Safety and Health Representatives. They perform tasks involving a range of varied activities, most of which are complex and non-routine. They are responsible for the quantity and quality of the output of others and contribute to the development of technical solutions to non-routine problems.

Due to the current FSA business direction, this qualification is only available for participants who have successfully completed the WA Safety and Health Representative training course, the opportunity to be formally assessed against corresponding competency units; as such it is envisioned that the vast majority of participants will be already within their job roles or looking to upskill, and as such have the foundation skills plus work place experience to support them within the learning and assessment stages of this course.
